I create & design Textile Print & Woven patterns, better known as CAD (Computer Aided Design). So I am a Textile CAD print Designer among other things! Such patterns are created for a variety of end uses for different companies throughout the country. I am an expert Kaledo (formerly U4ia), Illustrator & Photoshop user. I am open to learning new software platforms as well.
My specialty is designing repeats from purchased artwork and conceptualizing new designs from given inspirations/research. I love interpreting Artwork that is given to me and use my creative expertise to problem solve Artwork into wearable/printable patterns. I am savvy with color, colorways, and the complicated world of color matching and printing technology as well.
In addition I dream up & create an expanding line of One-of-A-Kind hand dyed & resist/batik method scarves inspired by my travels around the World @shireenscarfstudio. I see the world through color, light, texture, and the shapes created by them. Each scarf is thoughtfully inspired by something I have seen in the natural or commercial world. I hand screen my "S" logo on the bottom right corner of each end of the scarf. It takes time and patience to create these products. Your support of local artists is appreciated.
